PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the vibration of a muffler with a catalyst caused by the excitation action of an engine. SOLUTION: The muffler 15 with the catalyst, including an exhaust emission control device 16, is horizontally mounted above an engine by vibration isolation mount means 22 while a muffler center line X is substantially orthogonal to the crankshaft 1a of the engine 1. The vibration isolation mount means 22 are provided in two portions in a crankshaft direction and a muffler shaft direction. The spring constant of each of spring elements 25, 26 is set in a relation with the mass of the muffler 15 with the catalyst so that the total natural frequency in three directions as the whole muffler mount mechanism with the vibration isolation mount means 22, ... added falls within an excitation frequency range in a vertical direction only and falls out of the excitation frequency range in the crankshaft direction and muffler shaft direction.
