PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide expandable styrenic resin particles that can provide a molded product of expanded particles, which is excellent in heat resistance and has a self-extinguishing characteristic. SOLUTION: The expandable styrenic resin particles which are impregnated with an expanding agent comprises a resin composition containing a styrenic resin (A), a polyphenylene ether resin (B), a brominated epoxy resin (C) having a weight-average molecular weight of 10,000-80,000, and antimony oxide (D), characterized in that the resin composition contains 15-50 pts.wt. of the polyphenylene ether resin (B), 10-30 pts.wt. of the brominated epoxy resin (C), and 1-15 pts.wt. of the antimony oxide (D) based on 100 pts.wt. of the styrenic resin (A).
