PURPOSE: A soundproof tunnel and a construction method thereof are provided to improve the convenience and speed of construction work for a soundproof tunnel. CONSTITUTION: A soundproof tunnel comprises H-beams, longitudinal members(20), first transverse members(50), second transverse members(60), soundproof panels(40), longitudinal member caps(30), and transverse member caps(70). The H-beams are fixed with reinforcing concrete to a ground structure. The longitudinal members are fixed to the top of the H-beams and formed with stepped portions on both upper sides thereof. The first and second transverse members are arranged to cross the H-beams and the longitudinal members at the right angle and engaged with each other via the longitudinal outer sides thereof. The soundproof panels comprise two longitudinal parts in which the longitudinal inner sides of the first and second transverse members are respectively connected and two transverse parts which are hung on the stepped portions of the adjacent longitudinal members. The longitudinal member caps are fixed to the top of the longitudinal members to hold the longitudinal members and the transverse part of the soundproof panels. The transverse member caps cover the top of the engaged first and second transverse members.
