A releasable fastening device for a parachute comprises a ring A adapted to be connected to a parachute strap and cooperating with an abutment 8 on a complementary part to be carried by a harness, the abutment, which retains the ring having a support face 10 therefor which is perpendicular to a base B which carries the abutment 8.
