<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foaming stabilizer for meringue which contains cellooligosaccharide and polysaccharide thickener, has low calorie content and suppressed in viscosity, and to provide a food composition containing the stabilizer. <P>SOLUTION: The foaming stabilizer for meringue has the combination of the cellooligosaccharide as an indigestible glucide, and the polysaccharide thickener so as to have low calorie content and be suppressed in viscosity.
