FIELD: electricity. ^ SUBSTANCE: cathode of plasma accelerator includes igniter electrode, emitter with holder, supply pipeline of plasma-forming substance to emitter, heating assembly including coaxially installed housing, spiral and electric insulator relative to each other, on inner side of which there arranged is spiral, and on outer side of which there arranged is housing. It also includes current leads on spiral ends which have contact sections to inner surface of electric insulator. On inner surface of middle part of electric insulator there is spiral groove in which large part of spiral is arranged. At that, both ends of spiral at the length of not less than one pitch of its coil on inner surface of electric insulator there are sections of cylindrical shape. In addition to the above, housing of heating assembly can fully envelope external housing of electric insulator and have on the end facing outlet part of igniter electrode the projections directed towards end part of electric insulator. Besides, between projection and end part of electric insulator there can be installed a spring. ^ EFFECT: improving operating reliability of cathode owing to full prevention of possible formation of electric contact between heater spiral and emitter holder, elimination of possible short circuit of spiral coils to each other during starting warming, increase of mechanical strength of cathode, elimination of influence of thermal expansion of electric insulator on structural elements of cathode. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg |
