PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus and a menu select and display method thereof are provided to improve the inconvenience of a user resulting from a screen switching operation by selectively switching a menu region selected by a user and displaying a lower menu for setting an option and maintain continuous working flow by minimizing unnecessary screen switching operations. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(120) displays an initial screen including a menu list of an image forming apparatus. If one menu is selected from the menu list through the touch operation of a user input unit(110), a control unit(160) displays a first lower menu corresponding to the menu region through the screen switching operation in a selected menu region without changing other menus. The first lower menu is displayed to set an option corresponding to the selected menu.
