PURPOSE: An optical film and a manufacturing method thereof, a polarizer, and a liquid crystal display device are provided to obtain a good peeling feature of a metal supporting object during solution softening. CONSTITUTION: An optical film comprises the following features. The optical film includes two kinds of cellulose acylate resins whose acyl substitution degrees are different. The cellulose acylate resins include a cellulose acylate resin whose acyl substitution degree is lower than 2.5 and a cellulose acylate resin whose acyl substitution degree is higher than 2.5.
