PURPOSE: A surgical robot system and a method for limiting the operation of the same are provided to secure the safety of a patient in an operation by preventing the mis-manipulation of robot arm and/or instruments. CONSTITUTION: A limiting section setting part(350) receives limiting section setting information with respect to the limiting section of the manipulation with respect to a target, and the coordinate information with respect to the limiting section is generated. An arm manipulating part(360) receives manipulating information for manipulating the target. A manipulation verifying part(370) verifies the contact of the coordinate information and the external surface of the target referring to the displacement information of the target. |
