<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for recognizing an NUI(Natural User Interface) gesture are provided to supply an developer environment which is able to implement various kinds of functions for NUI programming by registering and recognizing various gestures on a touch screen or a touch panel. CONSTITUTION: A coordinate row input unit(231) receives a touch data coordinate row, and a coordinate row offset unit(232) offsets the touch data coordinate row. A coordinate row normalizing unit(233) normalizes the gesture profile data coordinate rows and the touch data coordinate rows by selecting the reference coordinate row. A gesture recognizer(234) calculates the distance between the normalized touch data coordinate row and the gesture profile data coordinate row to recognize the gesture corresponding to the shortest gesture profile data coordinate row.</p> |
