PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve uneven wear resistance of a pneumatic tire for heavy load including a new cross section shape of a tire tread part different from a conventional pneumatic tire for heavy load. SOLUTION: The tire tread part of the pneumatic tire for the heavy load has a central area having the maximum outer diameter on a tire equator line, having a cross section shape defined by a single radius of curvature and including the tire equator line. When a reduction amount from the maximum outer diameter of a first outer diameter of a tire tread part end at a first side of both sides in a tire width direction of the tire tread part to clamp the tire equator line is made to a and a reduction amount from the maximum outer diameter of a second outer diameter of a tire tread part end at a second side is made to b, the reduction amount a is smaller than the reduction amount b.
