PURPOSE: A composition containing complex herb extract is provides to suppress dermatitis and edema and to prevent and treat allergic diseases. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating allergic diseases contains complex herb extract of Lycium chinense Miller, Cuscuta japonica Chois., Rubus coreanus Miquel, and Schizandrae Fructus in a weight ratio of 1-24 : 7-21 : 5-15 : 1-3, as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition further contains generally used proper carrier, excipient, and diluent. A health food for preventing and treating allergic diseases contains the complex herb extract as an active ingredient. The health food is manufactured in the form of powder, granule, capsule, tablet, or beverage.
