PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clarifying material for an organic halogen compound that excels in dissolving speed of underground water contaminated by the organic halogen compound and that has reduced cost, and to provide a clarification method using the clarifying material and a recycling method of the clarifying material. SOLUTION: The clarifying material for the organic halogen compound is a mixture of first particles composed of metal carrying particles in which a platinum group element or nickel is carried on a carrier, with second particles composed of iron powder, or metal powder in which the surface of the iron powder is coated with metal more precious than iron, or metal powder comprising iron alloy.
