PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation structure which has a pile foundation type constructed on ground changing the depth of a solid stratum, and which can secure safety of a foundation slab by simplified operations excellent in constructibility. SOLUTION: In this foundation structure having the pile foundation type for supporting a structure 10 on the ground changing the depth of the solid stratum L<SB>1</SB>, a ground contact pressure control material 13 for decreasing ground contact pressure of a boundary portion changing the rigidity of the ground is laid on the undersurface of the foundation slab 11 at least in the boundary portion.
