The system has a cornet (15) removably mounted in a cage (14) for guiding a free spherical end (101) of a control rod (10) into the cage. The cage has flexible clipping lugs whose free ends lock the spherical end of the rod after the rod is positioned in the cage. The cornet has a deformable small section end (151) penetrated into the cage beyond the free ends of the lugs. The small section end is extended by projecting tongues that form support surfaces for the free ends of the lugs. The cornet is obtained by folding a cardboard or plastic sheet. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a pedal.
