<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that flickers are viewed because periods when projection light is not lowered (a period when reversing is not performed at low frequency) are inserted while the deterioration of projection light is repeated at a reverse interval of stationary lighting frequency. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge lamp lighting device inserts current degradation wave pattern 9 at each half cycle of the stationary lighting frequency during low frequency, generates luminance deterioration wave pattern 11, and makes the luminance deterioration wave pattern 11 closer to a luminance deterioration wave pattern 10 that is generated while reversing the stationary lighting frequency to reduce the flickers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
