<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric disc brake capable of facilitating its assembly and allowing a worker to confirm its operation before assembling. <P>SOLUTION: A piston unit 9 is assembled by integrating a piston 14, a ball lamp mechanism 19, a differential reduction gear 20, and a pad wear compensation mechanism 21. A motor/controller unit 10 is assembled by integrating a motor 39, a resolver 40, and a driving controller 42. The piston unit 9 is inserted into a cylinder part 11 of a caliper body 8, and the motor/controller unit 10 is mounted to assemble an electric caliper 7.
