PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method whereby purified apigenin-containing extract can be obtained in a high yield, provided that the obtained extract contains apigenin of higher purity compared to those in conventional ones. SOLUTION: The method for preparing the purified apigenin-containing extract comprises: an adsorption step of contacting an apigenin-containing extract to a synthetic adsorbent so that the apigenin contained in the apigenin-containing extract is adsorbed to the synthetic adsorbent, provided that the apigenin-containing extract contains an aqueous organic solvent solution wherein the organic solvent concentration is 10-45 mass%; and an elution step of contacting the aqueous organic solvent solution to the synthetic adsorbent so as to elute the apigenin from the synthetic adsorbent.
