PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for providing an automobile vibration isolating component excellent in high damping property, long-term durability, stable temperature dependence, and low-temperature property in particular; and to provide a rubber member for the automobile vibration isolating component formed by curing the composition. SOLUTION: The rubber member is obtained by curing a composition, which is prepared by compounding components (C) and (B) with a mixture of components (A) and (B) mixed at a specific ratio, with an organic peroxide curing agent (E). The component (A) is an organopolysiloxane having the polymerization degree of 100 or more, containing a diphenylsiloxane unit represented by formula [I] and/or a phenylmethylsiloxane unit represented by formula [II] in the molecule, and having at least two silicon atom-coupling alkenyl groups in the molecule. The component (B) is an ethylene-α-olefin-nonconjugated polyene random copolymer rubber wherein the nonconjugated polyene consists of at least one kind of terminal vinyl group-containing norbornene compound represented by general formula [III] or [IV]. The component (C) is reinforcing silica with a specific surface area of 50 m<SP>2</SP>/g or more. The component (D) is an organosilane or siloxane represented by general formula [V].
