The device (1) has a radiation-device (2) for radiation of a terahertz-signal (AT) on a sample (P), where the device is integrated on a chip. A receiving device (3) is designed as a patch antenna and provided for receiving of the reflected terahertz-signal (RT) from the sample. A measuring device (4) measures intensity of the reflected terahertz-signal. An analysis device (5) determines humidity (F) in the sample in dependent upon the measured intensity of the reflected terahertz-signal. The receiving device, measuring device and analysis device are designed as a zero-bias-detector. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining humidity in the sample.
