Disclosed is a light source driving device provided with: a switching power source (1) for driving a light-emitting element (2); a switching element (3) for pulse driving which is connected in parallel to the light-emitting element (2); a light detector (4) for detecting the intensity of the light emitted from the light-emitting element (2); a current detecting element (6) for detecting the current generated from the switching power source device (1); and a calculating unit (8) for controlling the operation of the switching power source (1) by calculating the feedback loop on the basis of the detection results from the light detector (4), and the feedback loop on the basis of the detection results from the current detecting element. Therefore, the light emission waveform is stabilized even when the light-emitting element is pulse-emitted.
