A hydraulic control device for a friction clutch for a vehicle includes a brake valve (76) provided in an oil path through which an operating oil is caused to flow out of a clutch cylinder (40) in order to engage a friction clutch (10), and when the pressure on the clutch cylinder (40) side exceeds a predetermined release pressure, the brake valve (76) permits the operating oil to flow out of the clutch cylinder (40). The configuration causes, even if a negative pressure occurs in the pressure chamber (44) of the clutch cylinder (40), the brake valve (76) to suppress the outflow of the operating oil within the pressure chamber (44). As a result, the expansion of the gap formed between a pair of pistons (46, 48) of the clutch cylinder (40) is suppressed to improve the response of the disengaging operation of the friction clutch (10). |
