<p>The method involves removing overlying sections of damaged PTFE insulation layer (1) of an electrical conductor (3) by cutting, slide scarping, milling, polishing or planning. A dissolved flour-polymer (6) i.e. Teflon(RTM: PTFE), is applied on the damaged section of the electrical conductor. The damaged section is heated above a glass transition temperature of the flour-polymer in order to remove a solvent.</p> |
