The invention relates to a mechanical resonator (1) having a elastically deformable flexible body (2) which is connected to a support (6) on a fixing point (5) and has a deflection point (7) which is arranged at a distance from the fixing point (5) and which can deviate in relation thereto by elastically deforming the flexible body (2). Said resonator (1) comprises at least one actuator having at least two points which can be displaced in relation to each other and which are connected in such a manner to the flexible body (2) that the flexible body can be elastically deformed about the flexural axis (9) when the actuator is actuated. Said flexible body (2) has at least two flexible body parts (3a, 3b) that are connected together by means of a pivoting support in a such a manner that they can pivot in relation to each other about a pivotable axis (4). Said pivotable axis (4) is perpendicular to the flexural axis (9) such that the pivoting support can be pressurised by traction forces or pressure which is dependent on flexible deformation when pivoting the flexible body parts (3a, 3b) in relation to each other.
