<p>The valve (1) has a pressure balancing device with a shuttle (7) i.e. compensator. The device is slidingly mounted along a movable control rod (4) of a port (3). The device is cooperated with a body (2) of the valve and the rod to drive in unique action in a part of the path of the port when the port is closed. Dynamic joints assure sealing between the shuttle and the body and between the shuttle and the rod. An independent claim is also included for a method for reducing collision speed of a port during closing of a shut-off rotary valve.</p> |
