PURPOSE: A standby power cutoff apparatus for electronic appliances is provided to operate electronic appliances by a switch on motion and obtain the same effect as system power off even though a plug is not pulled out, thereby completely cutting consumed standby power off. CONSTITUTION: A standby power cutoff apparatus for electronic appliances comprises a switch(10), a first relay, an AC main output terminal, a transformer(15), a rectifying circuit unit, a second relay driving circuit unit, and a second relay. The rectifying circuit unit rectifies an electrical signal outputted from the transformer. The second relay driving circuit unit generates a driving signal with the electrical signal outputted from the rectifying circuit unit. The second relay is driven by the second relay driving circuit unit. The second relay supplies an AC current to an AC sub output terminal and cuts the first relay off.
