PURPOSE: A brake caliper having a brake pad timing and contraction controller is provided to reduce the brake abrasion according to the actual decrease of parasitic braking. CONSTITUTION: A brake caliper having a brake pad timing and contraction controller comprises a caliper housing(7), first and second brake pads(12a,12b), a reaction member, and an elastic member. The caliper housing comprises first and second stationary sides arranged on the facing side areas of a brake rotor(5). The first and second brake pads are mounted on the first and second stationary sides of the caliper housing to be expanded and contracted. The reaction member is expanded and contracted to make the brake pad frictionally meshed with the rotor. The elastic member is arranged in the first and second stationary sides of the caliper housing. The elastic member is independently stretched and contrasted against the expansion of each brake pad. |
