PURPOSE: An alphabet input apparatus of a keypad and method thereof are provided to input various characters by repetitively pressing a specific button and a control button and to efficiently input a target word by using index. CONSTITUTION: A keypad includes a plurality of buttons. One or more alphabets are arranged on the button. An alphabet is recognized by the combination of pressing the button and of pressing the button for a long time in an alphabet input method of a keypad. An alphabet input apparatus efficiently inputs a target word by using index by repetitively pressing a specific button and a control button. |
