UPPER BODY STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively protect an occupant by a simple structure when a vehicle is collided while preventing the weight of the vehicle body from being increased or the space of a rear luggage compartment from being reduced.

SOLUTION: In the upper body structure of a vehicle, at least a driver's seat 3 and a front passenger's seat 4 are arranged above a floor panel forming the bottom surface of a cabin adjacent to each other in the vehicle width direction. Seat rails 9 for supporting the driver's seat 3 movably in the longitudinal direction are installed on the floor panel. A front passenger's seat supporting part for fixing the front passenger's seat 4 is provided further to the rear side than the foremost position of the driver's seat 3 supported by the seat rails 9. A seat belt member 41 for protecting an occupant is provided to the front passenger's seat 4.
