The invention relates to a pressure regulator for a diesel injection device comprising means for operating in a degraded mode, to a heat engine comprising such an injection device, and to a vehicle. The regulator according to the present invention comprises means enabling the rod to be retained at rest in a closed position. Said means for retaining the rod (39) are advantageously return means preferably comprising a spring. The spring (45) is advantageously arranged so as to exert force on the rod in a direction opposite to that of the force exerted by the at-rest closing spring, which is usually arranged in the regulators. Thus, according to the present invention, the regulator is capable of operating in a degraded mode without any electrical power supply, the opening of the nozzle being provided by the pressure building up inside the accumulator, which pushes back the rod (39) when said pressure is sufficient, with respect to the surface on which the pressure is exerted inside the regulator in order to push back said rod relative to the return spring load in place. The present invention can be used in particular in the automotive industry. The present invention can mainly be used in the diesel engine industry.
