Method and device for multiplexing (24) data flows in a group-based manner and with synchronization by means of time markers, which make it possible to replace some of the digital signals which form a general data flow (G1+G2), which is provided with time markers for the synchronization thereof, with some of the signals which form another particular data flow (G2x), which is also synchronized with time markers, in a deterministic manner, this term being understood as meaning that the resultant data flow (G1+G2x) is always the same in terms of composition and synchronization, independently of the location at which the method is carried out or at which the apparatus is located and independently of the delays with respect to the original flows. Deterministic multiplexing is applied to data flows carrying audiovisual content and information and makes it possible to effectively reduce the bandwidth needed in the territorial adaptation of said flows.
