PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pilot type steam trap reducing a cost and labor for the installation. SOLUTION: An inlet 5, a valve chamber 6 and an outlet 7 are formed in a trap casing formed of a body 1 and lid members 2, 3. A main valve element 18 for opening and closing a main valve port 20 bringing the valve chamber 6 into communication with the outlet 7 is controlled to open and close by a piston member 15 working as a pressure responsive valve displaced with open and close of a pilot float 10 working as an auxiliary pilot valve. A pilot passage 13 is formed in a partition wall 4 of the body 1 for connecting the pilot float 10 to the piston member 15. A primary side passage 23 is formed in the partition wall 4 of the body 1 for connecting the inlet 5 to the pilot passage 13.
