PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor which suppresses the generation of an eddy current. SOLUTION: The linear motor 1 has: a coil 7; magnets 13 which are annularly arranged in a concentric shape with respect to the coil 7, magnetized in a radial direction, and can move to the coil 7 in an axis CA direction; and a cylindrical outer yoke 9 arranged in the concentric shape with respect to the coil 7. Then, the outer yoke 9 has a plurality of plate-shaped members 27 which are arranged so as to be laminated around the axis CA with an insulating membrane 27b and an adhesive 29 interposed therebetween, and exhibit ferromagnetic properties.
