Disclosed are a touch panel capable of multi-touch sensing and a multi-touch sensing method for the touch panel. The touch panel and multi-touch sensing method for the touch panel are capable of determining an actual contacting position of a contacting object even when a ghost pattern is generated, by measuring and storing respective resistance values of a plurality of first and second touch pads, which vary according to the contacting position of the contacting object, and the capacitance of the contacting object, as sensing time changes, to determine the actual contacting position of the contacting object.
