<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection unit which can be compact as a whole by using a reflective LED capable of emitting parallel beams as a light source to shorten the optical axial length, has a degree of freedom in design with adjustable length of the unit in accordance with a distance from an installing position of the light source to a projection plane, allowable in a narrow space such as a vacant space in a game machine, and can project sharp images of figures or characters onto the projection plane. <P>SOLUTION: The projection unit includes: a reflective LED 11 of parallel beams; a mask film 14 placed in front of the light exiting face of the reflective LED and having a cut-out figure or character; a first lens 15 placed in front of the mask film and condensing beams from the reflective LED through the mask film into a given area S at a desired distance; a second lens 16 disposed at a given distance d1 in front of the first lens and imaging the beams passing through the figure or character of the mask film onto a position of a given distance d2 in front of the second lens; and a chassis 12 housing and fixing these elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
