<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress light leakage in the periphery of a black matrix in a liquid crystal panel using PSA (Polymer Sustained Alignment) technology. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel 100 includes a color filter substrate 10 and an array substrate 20 opposing to each other, and a liquid crystal layer 30. A polymer structure for imparting a pretilt angle to liquid crystal molecules is formed on the interface between the liquid crystal layer 30 and the color filter substrate 10. The color filter substrate 10 includes a light-transmitting substrate 12, a color filter layer 14, and a black matrix 16 formed on the light-transmitting substrate 12 as covering an end 14a and a groove 18 of the color filter layer 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
