<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time needed for switching a line. <P>SOLUTION: A dispersion compensation execution part multiplexes active signal light and spare signal light, and executes dispersion compensation to the multiplexed active signal light and spare signal light in a variable dispersion compensator. A branching part branches the active signal light and the spared signal light dispersion-compensated by the dispersion compensation execution part. A first acquisition part obtains the compensation value of an active line using the active signal light branched by the branching part. A second acquisition part obtains the compensation value of the spare signal light using the spare signal light branched by the branching part. A compensation value setting part sets the compensation value of the spare line obtained by the second acquisition part to the variable dispersion compensator instead of the compensation value of the active line obtained by the first acquisition part when a fault of the active line is detected by a fault detection part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
