The casting container for the reception of liquid metals, comprises an external wall, which has two side walls, two lateral walls (5, 6) and a base and forms a container-shaped cavity accessible from top, a lining made of refractory materials lining the external wall and surrounding the cavity, and an outlet (11, 12) on an upper container and on one of the lateral walls of the external wall. The lining of the outlet has a flat angle against the horizontal than the lining of the lateral wall. The lining in a middle area of the outlet has a groove-like recess (14) having a radius. The casting container for the reception of liquid metals, comprises an external wall, which has two side walls, two lateral walls (5, 6) and a base and forms a container-shaped cavity accessible from top, a lining made of refractory materials lining the external wall and surrounding the cavity, and an outlet (11, 12) on an upper container and on one of the lateral walls of the external wall. The lining of the outlet has a flat angle against the horizontal than the lining of the lateral wall. The lining in a middle area of the outlet has a groove-like recess (14) having a radius in its base area running in outflow-direction of the fluid metal, where both sides of the outlet connect in the direction to surfaces widening the cavity, on the first recess. The lining in the area of the side wall has a groove-like second recess (15) having a radius in its base area, integrating to the first recess in outflow-direction of the liquid metal, where both sides of the casting container connect in the area of the surface widening the lateral wall on the second recess. The outlet and/or the lateral wall of the restricting surface (16) connect on a surface (17), which connects on the groove-like recess. The lining in the area of the side wall has an angle of 78-85[deg] against the horizontals, and the lining in the area of the outlet has an angle of 30-55[deg] against the horizontals. An open-angle of the outlet formed through the surface connecting on the groove-like recess is 55-65[deg] , where both surfaces connecting on the groove-like recess in the area of the lining of the outlet have an angle of 135-140[deg] , and both surfaces connecting on the groove-like recess in the area of the lining of the side wall have an angle of 107-112[deg] . The side wall in its lower area has a chamfer in the direction of the base. The transition between the lining associated to the lateral wall, and the lining of the outlet is formed as radius, where both side walls of the external wall opposite to each other have chamfered edge against the base. An independent claim is included for a device for transporting a casting container for the reception of the liquid metals.
