<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load drive system enabling highly efficient operation by reducing a switching loss etc. of a power converter, and driving a load by increasing an AC output voltage of the power converter. <P>SOLUTION: The load drive system converts a DC voltage into an AC voltage in accordance with an AC voltage command by a power converter such as an inverter 102 having a semiconductor switch element, and supplies the voltage to a load M, wherein a neutral point of the load M is connected to one end of a DC intermediate circuit of the inverter 102 via a DC power supply B and the inverter 102 steps up the voltage of the DC power supply B in accordance with a DC voltage command and can supply the stepped-up voltage to the DC intermediate circuit. In the load drive system, if the AC voltage to be supplied from the inverter 102 to the load M is low, the DC voltage command is set so that the step-up ratio of the voltage of the DC intermediate circuit to the DC power supply voltage becomes low, and the amplitude of the AC voltage command is set so as to prevent over-modulation in accordance with the DC voltage command. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
