<p>In a multiband compressor (100), a level calculation means (121) calculates a signal level input into each of a plurality of bands; a gain calculation means (122) calculates a gain value from the calculated signal levels; and a gain limitation means (130) limits the gain value by comparison with the gain values of the other bands at compressors of each of the plurality of bands. As a result, a multiband compressor is provided which is capable of achieving at a high level a balance between sound quality and volume increase effect.</p> |
