<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel sensor manufacturable in a simpler process. <P>SOLUTION: The touch panel sensor 10 includes a transparent substrate 11, many transparent electrode units 13, 15 placed on an upper surface 11a of the transparent substrate 11 so as to be aligned in the x direction and the y direction and composed of x-direction transparent electrode units 13 connected in the x direction through x-direction connectors 14 and y-direction transparent electrode units 15 located between the x-direction electrode units 13, and peripheral wirings 17 connected to the x-direction transparent electrode units 13 and y-direction transparent electrode units 15 located in the periphery of these many transparent electrode units 13, 15. Here, the mutually adjoining y-direction transparent electrode units 15 are mutually connected in the y direction by y-direction connectors 16 placed over the x-direction connectors 14 through an insulating layer 18.
