PURPOSE: A system for controlling the indoor temperature of a vehicle is provided to generate electricity using a solar panel or a combination of a solar panel and thermo-element and to control the indoor temperature of a vehicle by cooling or heating the thermo-element. CONSTITUTION: A system for controlling the indoor temperature of a vehicle comprises a solar panel(1), an electricity storage unit(6), thermo-element(3), and a temperature control unit(7). The solar panel is exposed to the outside of the vehicle and converts solar energy to electrical energy to generate electricity. The electricity storage unit stores electricity, which is generated by the solar panel. The bottom of the thermo-element is exposed to the indoor space of the vehicle, and the top of the thermo-element makes tight contact with the bottom of the solar panel. The bottom exposed to the indoor space of the vehicle is heated or cooled to have the similar temperature to the top making tight contact with the bottom of the solar panel, according to the direction of current supplied from the electricity storage unit by a peltier effect.
