<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control apparatus for reducing power consumption by switching an operation mode without a user being aware of it. <P>SOLUTION: The remote control apparatus includes: a first input means for reading a gesture pattern; a second input means for inputting starting of an application; a transmission/reception means for transmitting information of the gesture pattern and transmitting/receiving a command; and a control means for activating the first input means when starting of a particular application is input by the second input means, for transmitting a command requesting specification of an operation mode for the starting of the particular application after being touched-on by the first input means, and foe setting the operation mode based on reception of a command specifying the operation mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
