PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection device which can reduce malfunction in rotation by composing an eccentric amount of a magnetic detecting body small. SOLUTION: The magnetic detecting body 11 makes disk shape and includes a recess 11b gradually changing length d of a magnetic part 11d from an outer peripheral face 11c on a radial inside part in a rotation direction. The change of an alternating magnetic field based on the change of the length d of the magnetic part 11d is detected with a magnetic sensor 12 in the rotation direction, and an absolute angleθ1 of the magnetic detecting body 11 is detected by the detection.
