In Example 10, cyclododecyl cyclohexane carboxylate is prepared by reacting cyclododecanol with cyclohexane carbonyl chloride. In Example 12, 1,2,3-triphenyl-2-propanol is prepared by the Grignard addition of phenylmagnesiumbromide to 1,3-diphenylacetone followed by hydrolysis.
