<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in cleanliness in a single crystal pulling clean room. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a quartz glass crucible, raw material powder is molded in a mold 10 for crucible molding, and the molded body 11 is heated and melted by arc melting so as to produce the quartz glass crucible, wherein an electrode comprising a crystallization promoter for the quartz glass is used as the carbon electrode 13 performing arc melting, and a crystallization promoter-containing layer is formed on the inner surface of the quartz glass crucible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
