A shaft coupling between a first shaft section (1) and a second shaft section (2). Said shaft sections are in an operative position oriented along a common longitudinal axis. The first and second shaft sections comprise an inner and/or an outer splines (5,13) or other serration respectively for the interconnection thereof respectively. One of either the first or the second shaft having an outer serration (5) (male portion), is in a portion thereof to be inserted in the mating inner serration (13) (female portion) provided with a groove (6) for the fitting of a radially elastically deformable locking arrangement for, upon insertion thereof into the female portion, co-operation with a corresponding radially extending groove or shoulder arranged in the latter in order to keep the shaft sections securely fixed together.
