<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure a data driver such that the data driver is not affected by characteristics of a transistor. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of coupling capacitances are connected to data enable lines which are set to at least two setting potentials. A plurality of bit transistors 6 in which ON/OFF is controlled according to display data of a plurality of bits, control connection relationship between the plurality of capacitances and the data enable lines, and a total capacity of the plurality of coupling capacitances is controlled. According to a voltage accumulated in the total capacity of the coupling capacitances by difference between two setting voltages which are set on the data enable lines, a display element is operated.
