PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermometer for mobile unit, which measures the surface temperature of a moving (traveling) target object, especially of a small-diameter conducting wire. SOLUTION: A first metallic wire 1 and a second metallic wire 2 constituting a thermocouple are arranged on an outer circumferential surface 13 of a disc 11 of a rotational section 10 with inclination with respect to the axis. Thermoelectromotive force generated by a target object in contact with the wires is converted into an electric signal and is emitted from a light emitting diode 31, which is delivered to a photodiode 32 installed in a fixed section 20 in a noncontact manner. A high-frequency current is applied to a fixed side coil 42 installed in the fixed section 20, thereby allowing a rotational side coil 41 arranged facing it to be supplied with electric power in a noncontact manner.
