PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing method, a recording/reproducing apparatus, and an information recording medium. SOLUTION: The method of recording data on an information recording medium includes the steps of: rearranging an order of a variable-size first information structure and a fixed-size second information structure, which are included in management information of the information recording medium by a change in a method of using the information recording medium; and arranging them so that the variable-size first information structure follows the fixed-size second information structure; and recording the rearranged management information on the information recording medium. As a result, recording management information can be found in a fixed location of a finalized information recording medium, thereby allowing the recording management information to be found easily and quickly.
